I focus on playing aggressively at the top of my crease, staying technically sound, and constantly improving through hard work and high-intensity training. I'm very coachable and always open to learning, making adjustments, and growing as a player.
Off the ice, I pride myself on being a dependable teammate, a positive leader, and someone who competes hard every time I step on the ice. "As a seasoned high performance ice hockey coach, it is not unusual to work with an elite athlete like Makenna who combines talent with diligence, and commitment to the team, quite like this athlete . Makenna’s work ethic, leadership, and resilience have set the highest standards for the rest of the team, and goaltending partnership she played a huge role during this past season in laying the foundation for a successful season and inspiring their peers to follow the same path."

"I have had the privilege of coaching and mentoring Makenna, and what stands out most is her relentless commitment to improving every single day. She is excited for every one of our sessions, whether it's video review, recruitment discussions or on-ice lessons. She's open and receptive to coaching, embraces feedback, and consistently applies it with purpose and determination. Her work ethic and self-motivation set her apart. She seeks guidance and then takes ownership of her development and is always looking for ways to elevate her game. Her greatest motivation is earning the opportunity to play at the next level, which at this point would be college hockey. She understands that reaching the next level requires daily commitment, and she has demonstrated both the mindset and dedication necessary to succeed. I am confident she will be a great addition to any program, both on the ice and as a teammate."
